Christmas markets in Zurich

Usual trip to the Christmas markets. This time to visit the indoor market piu 'grande d'europa station located in central Zurich

 

First day at markets

Departure at 5 from Brescia towards Zurich in buses. Stop in Mendrisio and continuation of snowy mountains and beautiful alpine lakes. Arrival in Zurich in the early afternoon, and time available to visit the Christmas market piu 'grande d'Europa indoors. The marketplace and 'within the central station, with about 80 wooden houses. Personally a disappointment. E 'quasi piu' nice to visit the station, over 3 floors to fall, full of nice little shops and boutiques of chocolate, where you can find all kind of Swiss chocolate, very good.

2nd day: visit to the city

The second day, and 'dedicated to the visit of the city', you can 'choose to follow the lead of the tour operator, or go alone. We choose the second option to be more 'free. The City 'and all things considered' pretty, very clean and tidy, where stands the beautiful Norman cathedral. However in my opinion nothing exceptionally nice city center, nice commercial area with shops, to avoid the area, just full of banks. In the end after seeing the Christmas markets in Salzburg and those of the Adige, beautiful, especially in Salzburg for the wonderful old town and the beautiful rock the Honensalzburg, this somewhat 'disappoints us. According to me you can 'visit after seeing others, especially those I say in Germany, and Switzerland there are those of Bern and Montreux.
