Few hours to discover the city of Basel,
half an hour by car from Freiburg, Germany, crossing the fields by the bright colors, you pass the border (and a good start .. even before they ask us to go far to 30.00 euros tolls ... not bad ..), stringent checks on documents and then clears the way .. we go to Switzerland, but certainly not choose as its gateway to the most picturesque places .. but the periphery "monstrous" in Basel.
Sheds, Buildings, Chimneys, continuous passage of heavy vehicles ... a giant open-air laboratory .. the horizon is completely flat and gray .. but where are the green and the mountains?

These are the risks involved when you suddenly too much, we gathered in Basel without being documented either before departure, and without a clear idea of what image we had before.
Despite this, we continue to advance toward the center and, although without a map, get a feel as possible with the historical part.
The view from the river, which guarantees to each side a different perspective, gives us an overall view of the appearance of the city: The towers of the Cathedral (unfortunately under renovation ..) but also the oldest buildings ... the billboards of the Europeans in 2008. .

E 'Sunday .. shops are completely closed .. including wonderful chocolate shops, which we must be content with watching from outside ..
Patience .. instill it was just a walk, a detour of the route in Germany .. maybe we could forget about the city (which has nothing so extraordinary in itself ..) but we hardly forget the colorful fields of crops, which are so brightly lit and has now become the largest conurbation only a gray stain, which can be seen in the distance ..
