London (12,000,000 inhabitants) is situated on the banks of the River Thames, south-east of England, of which the city is the capital and the leading political, cultural, administrative, financial and tourist center. Located in a strategic position, has always represented the culture and the power of one of the most important empires in history and is certainly among the most sought after tourist destinations in Europe and worldwide.
The foundation of London dates back to 43 a.C. by the Romans who gave it the name of Londinium, and since then the city was the largest port and center of trade between Great Britain and the rest of Europe and a major city in importance in Europe and world.

London is now a modern and dynamic capital, and consists of a multitude of multiracial neighborhoods that swing around the City, the financial and economic heart of London, independent from the administrative point of view from the rest of the city.

London, with its characteristic double-decker bus, the red telephone boxes, the replacement of the Guard, Big-Ben and a number of icons in the collective revenue is also a much sought after tourist destination for those who want to spend a short holiday period and for those who want to work (even if only for a few months) abroad and learn a little 'of English.

Served by three airports (Heathrow Airport, the main Gatewick and Stanstead, favored by low-cost) the city has an efficient transport network, and can easily be visited in meters that (despite the high cost), allows moving quickly all over his hand to a very effective.

The currency, in spite of England joined the EU, is the British Pound which is divided into Penny, and London, although it offers many possibilities to the visitor, it is relatively expensive for us Italians.
