This tour is part of a wider trip, which included Eire, made with my Fiat Tipo. Arrived on the island by ferry Calais (France)-Dover I immediately directed to Windsor to see the Royal Castle, a Wax Museum rebuilt in an old Victorian railway station that plays the visit in the city of Queen Victoria, and surprise feature a military parade with a Royal Guard and Scottish bagpipe players in kilts. From here to Oxford to visit some of the main College and the streets of the lively center of many students. Transfer to the north and going to bed at Bradford Haworth. This typical village is located among the heather moors of Yorkshire both described in the famous stories of the Bronte sisters who were born, their father was the pastor of the village and parish house has been transformed into a memorial museum. With un'escursione walk a few hours have gone up on the hill of "stormy Peaks" in memory of the love story between Heathglif and Katy. Upon returning to the country among the winding streets of the stone was a celebration with singers and artists from the street and was a possible visit to the museum of wool. Transfer and overnight in York Youth nell'ostello very functional. In the morning following the visit to the City in memory of the War of the Roses between York and Lancaster, interesting fortress, the charming Victorian museum, much less than that Viking is practically a carousel. In the afternoon a brief stop in the Park at Middlesbrough where there are memories of the World circumnavigate Captain Cook was born here although most were nice to see the squirrels. In the evening a night Carisle. The next morning left England for Scotland and arrived in Edinburgh, beautiful city rich in history with its castle which dominates and which preserves discrete museum exhibitions. From Piazza dell'Esplanade will go down the High Street lined with ancient buildings many of which host exhibitions drawn within stores (since the Museum of Toys). Just down the road there is the Palazzo Hodlyroodhouse and around this area famous in the history of the dog that every day he returned to the tomb of the Lord with the Church, cemetery and monument to the poor animal. In the distance I saw the National Monument situated on a hill in a neoclassical style. In the evening, overnight stay in Perth. The next morning still further north to Inverness, then the lake of Loch Ness (famous for his monster, but the nice thing to check is the Turquhart Castle), Fort William dominated by bare Ben Nevis, along the fjord and some characteristic slept in Stranraer. To this day the best thing was to observe the landscape of the Highlands in an area sparsely populated. The next morning ferry to Larne in Northern Ireland and from there to the Giant's causeway, the basalt columns hexagonal shaped lapping the sea floor, creating a natural environment. Nearby, I traveled a path to the precipice into the sea produced a mountain of reddish limestone. Turning to Portrush and Belfast are entered in Eire at Newry (see Tour EIRE). From EAR are back in Britain and specifically with the Harbor Ferry Rosslare-Pembroke (Wales). Baipassando Cardiff are back in England, through the elegant streets in the hills of the City of Bath Spa came to the circle of megalithic Stonhenge. From here in Winchester that retains a beautiful cathedral and within the Great Hall that is said to be the Knights of the Round Table of King Arthur. Afternoon visit to Portsmouth to the Naval Museum in whose docks are Victory ships of Admiral Nelson and Mary Rose of Henry VIII ripescare not long ago from the seabed. Overnight in London at Wimbledoon where I left the car in a parking lot on a motorway bypass. The first day in the Capital went to Hyde Park (Serpentine lake, monument to Peter Pan) and Kensington Gardens up to its royal palace that overlooks a circular pond with swans. Walk through the museum area around the Royal Albert Hall and then in the surroundings at Memorial Metro at Trafalgar Square with its fountains and the Nelson Monument. From here the road White Hall flanked by important government buildings and monuments celebration, I was able to admire the Royal Horse Guards and visit the secret place where Churchill ran the war. After the famous Dowing Street residence where the Prime Minister the road is called Parliament seen in the square that leads onto which the turreted Palace of Parliament, with the tower called Big Ban, the Church of Santa Margherita, a small garden with monuments of famous people and a side dell'Abbazia Westminster. Inside the Abbey is beautiful, there are preserved many memories of British history, royal tombs, epitaphs of actors, poets, inventors and the place where the coronation of King Beside the church there is the great cloister with memories and other famous tombs. He returned to Trafalgar Square and past the Arc path I dell'Ammiraglio The Mall, part of St. James Park with the namesake lake, and I reached the Royal Palace in advance from the monument to Queen Victoria and closed by beautiful iron gate where the Guards monitor real estate. After crossing the Green Park, along Lancaster House, Clarence House, St. James Palace and I Marlborugh House Pall Mall where the trail overlook important Club, Waterloo Place, Haymarket, and I reached Piccadilly Circus. From this vital hub of the city, I brought in the district of Mayfair (remember the florist of operetta?) Then Metro to St Paul where I stayed in a Youth Hostel dear. The next day, view from outside the Cathedral, I have brought to the center of the City walking in the Bank of England, Mansion House, the Royal Exchange and Looyd's. In another area the past in front of The Temple and the ships moored on the Thames I took a Metro to the Tower of London. Bella's visit to the fort and its museum exhibitions (though I have not seen the treasure of the Crown). From here noted Tower Bridge before moving to Metro in a small church in whose garden is guarded the tomb of Captain Blight of the Bounty. By Metro Wimbledoon to where I had left the car two days before and for Dover from where I ferry to Calais (France) from which I returned home.
In this journey I have often slept in the Bad and Breackfast besides being elegant and clean offer the possibility of an excellent English breakfast. I also had a serious problem: given the car two days in a car park of a motorway to Wimbledoon I found with a broken glass. The attempt of theft had failed to staff the assistance of dell'autogrill, things that were retrieved and stored within the Police where I went to withdraw them.
Do not miss:-Windsor Castle, Museum of Wax;
College-Oxford, Haworth;-Edinburgh Castle, High Street, the landscape of the Highlands, the Giant's causeway; Stonhenge; Portsmouth Naval Museum, Victory ship; London-Kensington Gardens and Palace, Trafalgar Square, White Hall with the Royal Horse Guards, Palace of Parliament with Big Ban, Abbey of Westminster. Admiral Arch, St. James Park, Royal Palace, St. James Palace, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul, City with the Bank of England, Tower of London.
