A trip inside the actual Iran, once known as the great Persia
Formerly known as Persia, this fascinating land the cradle of a civilization that has left the best of herself in the testimonies of Persepolis, one of the most beautiful cities in the Islamic world, Isfahan, defined jewel of ancient Persia, with its wonderful mosaics blue tiles that line its religious buildings, its beautiful bridges. Shiraz cradle of Persian culture and poetry, became for a time capital under the Zand dynasty, not the case today houses the tombs of the era's greatest poets, Hafez and Sa'di. The old Yazd, emerging from the desert with its Old Town's oldest town, its streets, wind towers, built with mud and straw, known since antiquity as a textile center on the famous route of the Silk Road. Other centers are less famous but no less important, such as Kashan known in the past for the production of textiles, ceramics, destroyed several times, and became important during the period selgiuchide.Terra of ancient human settlements dating from the fourth century BC, today there remain many buildings to witness the past, particularly the homes of wealthy merchants from the time qagiara, embellished with stucco pools, and badges to cool the environment. Bam, once considered the pearl of Iran, the fortress and citadel, constructed entirely of mud and straw, which the 2003 earthquake destroyed much evident, this gem now under reconstruction, but where tourism now no longer reach in this wasteland of Baluchistan, where laws are being duped by a flourishing trade in narcotics traffickers, and where required run under armed escort. Second holy city of Qom 'Iran and home of the fundamentalist clergy, where to start the revolution led by Ayatollah Khomeini, a place of pilgrimage to the shrine of Fatemeh, sister of Iman Reza, located in the center square Hazrat-e Masumeh, crucible humanity mixed with mullahs and students. Mashhad, the holy city of the country for excellence, meaning a place of martyrdom, and died Imam Reza, a direct descendant of Mohammed, this place is not only a mosque or shrine, but a set of buildings, mosques, sacred places, and where they are in continuation of others. Important center of Shiite pilgrimage, flock here each year 12 million pilgrims. Iran, land fabulous, wonderful people, helpful, generous, will not be an example of democracy, but neither of terror as we are described in this Western. Is literally spoiled, by its people, admired, from any part comes, if you do not see in other European or American, but a person from sleep, talk, etc.. Well be the 'rogue states' like this, thanks Iran for letting me live this wonderful journey, you'll always be in my heart.
