Wadi Rum: These dunes we spent the move of the century: 31/12/1999-01/01/2000. After contacting a Bedouin who accompanied us off in the desert we have to download with our luggage. Seeing the jeep away our thought was "We hope to return to recover!". Mounted to the tent pide a wall of red rock, we tasted the sharpness of the sky of the desert. One way a little bit different to enter the new century!
Described as "immense, echeggiante, divine" by the writer TE Lawrence, the Wadi Rum is the largest desert in Jordan. Between dunes, tongues of scorched earth and stretches of sand are the sources of Lawrence of Arabia and the mountains of the seven pillars of wisdom.
Every desert, any desert, is in itself spectacular. The Wadi Rum is the most majestic and vast in Jordan, although not the only famous for the narratives of TE Lawrence. It offers the classic image of the desert, with the expanses of sand with reddish Jabal (hills) of sandstone rising suddenly from the valley. But also offers amenities such as Jebel siggestive Khazali, the sources of Lawrence of Arabia and the mountains of the seven pillars of wisdom. In this environment there are also endless canyons and high mountains with peaks of pure granite up to 1750 meters, climbing impegantive for the more adventurous and experienced climbers. Here is the second highest mountain in Jordan, Jabal Rum.
It is not difficult to meet the horizon of the desert landscape, Jordanian Bedouins with their low black tents and camels, although most moved in the city. The options for the exploration of Wadi Rum include vehicles with four-wheel-drive vehicles and caravans of camels. The "real consecrated, of course, ensure that to discover the immense soul of Wadi Rum is necessary to walk on foot, sleeping in tents.

Petra: Nabatei built by the City of Petra, south Jordan, was one of the terminals of the way of spices, had the greatest splendor under Filelleno (84 - 56th BC). In 64 d. C Pompeo Nabatei succeeding attacks into submission and make the territory a province nel106 AD
Many places of worship, tombs and dwellings carved into the rock. The architectural style appears influenced by the Hellenistic, Egyptian and Persian-Assyrian.
After walking the siq, a narrow gorge (in places not more than two meters) is an evocative view dela majestic facade of the tomb "Alkhazneh Treasury."
