A visit to the ancient buried city of Ephesus, now Kusadasi, Turkey
Visited annually by thousands of tourists every year, Ephesus is one of those places where the reputation disturbs the visit, leaving a bittersweet taste in the mouth .. On the one hand the magnificent ruins of an extraordinary step, the columns of what was ancient Ephesus, the Third, at one time a spy on the sea, now far more than 6 km. From 'the steady stream of other travelers that flow like rivers from every hole, all taking pictures like crazy nothing but scorched heads, sunglasses and umbrellas glistening, numbers, cruise and other quantities .. But since you can not sciegliere always when going to a place, luck is at least having the opportunity to visit it, see how it could have been a time, in classical times, walking the majestic descent to the Library of Celsus, admiring the temple Artemis, or sitting on the steps of the legendary theater of Ephesus, the impressive ruins of one of the largest existing ancient theaters, over 25,000 people, still art of magic nights of modern music. Abandoned for some time, the Fourth Ephesus was born a few miles away, around the time of Artemis, now in ruins ... a shaky one Doric column is still standing, isolated among the green shrubs of the maquis. Despite all the tourists and the heat can affect shocking that this land during the summer, Ephesus is a must to see for 'lover of classical Greek history, art and culture.
