An unforgettable travel in Turkey made during the late Nineties..

... And finally we arrived in Turkey for the first time and also of Asia! the first impression is really shocking, we arrive at the pit absurd city called Istanbul eheh! Traffic everywhere, people who emerge from all parties, tourists attacked by salespeople and our motorhome that looks like a alien spaceship in an unknown world .. what a mess Mum! overcome the impact we have a great turn in one of the most beautiful cities in the world in my opinion .. is also because the first day we went around, I am madly in love with almost every mosque mosques .. (and Istanbul there are hundreds) are left open-mouthed for a moment .. I wanted to be Muslim to go daily iin those wonders .. 4 days flew fast, and the memory of Blue Mosque I will remain forever in mind.
Now it's off to a favorite from my father (and my later) .. Cappadocia!
Before you get a brief stop in Ankara .. that sounds more like a Western city that many apartment blocks east .. and a very different structure than in Istanbul .. yet we are already in Asia! Cappadocia is a place much more interesting .. very limits of absurdity, houses dug into the mountains, thousands of conical mounds, and hundreds of shelters and leaving holes everywhere .. it seems almost absurd to think that many lived in ancient people here! And so with the visit of Zelve, Cavusin, Uchisar and Goreme with it that I particularly liked .. but theres very little if anything to be discarded. Before turning south, we grant you a quick stop on the Black Sea, which I have already seen years before in Bulgaria to take a bath so fast! Route decidedly south .. .. back in the Mediterranean Sea with a visit to Manavgat and its beautiful waterfalls and over the aqueduct of Aspendos where we do not find anything interesting. Far more important is the visit to Antalya, a famous southern port turkish, it was nice in it and advancing its many stalls of my happiness that do not have long to raid the local stalls .. I console myself with an unfailing kebab I have eaten it in a jiffy!
They spent two days here .. we are going to continue our journey along the coast to visit Myra, a town famous for its ruins, very nice .. but with this heat fatigue is starting to feel the little town of Kas .. offers nothing to miss, so we're going to Pamukkale ... a sight! The hot springs are fantastic .. bathing for more summer is a unique pleasure sin ... spend just one day! We return to the coast .. we expect the visit of the historical part .. in south west with a stop at Ephesus, Bergama and Troy ... how nice! Ephesus ruins everywhere is very beautiful ... I do not know where to look first Bergama .. .. Ditto with the remains of a massive amphitheater Troy .. well, after having climbed on the horse, I think there is little to say bn eheh! The trip is over .. sadly return home, a beautiful holiday, so I hope I can get back there sooner or later!
