This new year we have done in the beautiful city of Istanbul! We found a bell'hotel to 300 mt from the Sultanahmet Mosque and the Topkapi. The city is very chaotic but rich in history and culture and there are many things worth seeing, from mosques (Blue Mosque, in my opinion the most beautiful, Santa Sofia, the most famous for the paintings and mosaics for interior Christian origin, and finally the less known but beautiful mosque of Suleiman). Very beautiful is the Topkapi, the palace of the sultan, not to be missed are undoubtedly the 'harem and the Museum of the jewels: diamonds you see are indescribable! Not to miss are the Roman cisterns, composed of 12 rows of 28 columns: almost invisible from the outside, entering the tank surprising for the size and immersed in water columns. The lighting creates a magical atmosphere. For shopping instead of the large bazaar is a must, things are certainly the most characteristic perfume, spices and dried fruit (which by good veneti we bought plenty to put in the brandy!). Then the inevitable visit to the Galata Tower and a coffee in the Hotel Pera Palace. One evening, after the endless walk through the streets of the city we went to the Hammam Chemberlitas, of Roman origin, logging seems to go back centuries! Another very interesting and not at all, it is the district of Fatih wood, which enters the traditional Muslim World Istanbul, in stark contrast to the young and "Western" Taksim Square that starting from 5 in the evening is filled with young people ready to party. Memorable also was the visit to the Palace Dohmalbace that the wealth of the interior is far greater than Versailles! Very interesting is the boat trip on the Bosphorus ... I advise you not to book any trip organized, better take any ferry that is located on the pier, much cheaper and also you can go back to Istanbul where you want! This is just a list of beautiful things that you can see in this city ... the best thing however is to visit and live!
