With charter flights arrive at Istanbul in the evening. The lights of the Bosphorus welcome us in a world teeming with humanity varies. The following day boat trip with lunch on the Bosphorus on the Asian side (excellent fish washed down by a white male anything to be in a Muslim country). Then around the city: the Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapi. For a brief stay such as ours, Istanbul is a fascinating city between east and west, a different escape from the usual daily routine.
