A taste of Canada.. Holiday trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls

Four days of Holiday in the eastern Canada..

 

We arrive Buffalo Airport in the evening and take back the rented SUV. Just over half an hour and we cross the border into Canada at Niagara Falls. Here we knew we were out of season, but the atmosphere is wonderful. The lights of the casino light snow falling and the "white" that surrounds us. The hotel chosen is virtually empty, but the room warm and welcoming.

Of course after a quick breakfast and go immediately to the falls ... the first look is another heart sank. There is snow and ice but not frozen waterfalls and the show is different from that of the cards but perhaps even more fascinating. On the terrace there are no tourists, there are buses, but only us and the roar of the water that breaks the silence. We devote considerable time to admire the natural spectacle, from different points and perspectives.
We spend the day in total peace, walking around Niagara Falls and dedicated to souvenir shops.
To exploit the buffet dinner in the casino (remembering the experience of Las Vegas) which is incredibly full. We realize that we are not the only fools who chose to come here! With the new round the falls illuminated at night. Still different and beautiful. This time we stay in the car to admire. Just go down the ice cover itself immediately created the immediate freezing humidity!

We wake up under a thick snow but do not change our programs: Toronto today.
Along almost 200km we are struck by the landscape but especially on how the snow would not stop anything of everyday life, we smile thinking about what would happen to us ...
Toronto is anything special, if you go from here ok .. but do not go there on purpose.

Today is beautiful day and we spend visiting all the parks around Niagara Falls to Niagara on the Lake. Cross expanses of pristine forests and snow. Beautiful. Peace, silence and nature.

Si torna a casa..

Di buon mattina andiamo rivarchiamo il confine con gli USA e arriviamo a Buffalo con incredibile anticipo sul volo per New York. Accettiamo di prendere il volo prima e restare più tempo in transito al JFK...decolliamo sotto una tormenta di neve dando il nostro arrivederci a questo angolo gelato!
...Per la cronaca...scopriamo a New York di essere stati fra gli ultimi a decollare. Aeroporto chiuso.
Possiamo sorriderci su!
