A brief visit to the Niagara Falls, on the American side. Trip to United States
In this mythical week in New York a few days before departure, we held a mini trip to Niagara Falls. Having to spend 7 days in New York we decided to give one day to visit a destination around the city, at the end after a butt-Washington won the Niagara Falls! initial research on similar sites Expedia and we were initially discouraging, given the prices over $ 300 apiece, even though the share included a kind of tour, plus lunch and travel articles ... Eventually browsing the site we found the U.S. Airways flight at around $ 100 apiece round trip to Buffalo, which is about 20 minutes from the Falls! Needless to say, we stopped immediately!
We started the morning early, because the flight left at 6 am, but despite the early rising it is worth it because this way we were able to spend all day in this beautiful place! Also flying over Manhattan at dawn is priceless, you see the whole island is beautiful from above!
Buffalo airport there are buses that quickly take you right to the park entrance, we had a return ticket and inform us where the bus was to return to the airport and time ... shame that the coach return is not past and that we had to taxi to a very high price not miss the plane (60 $!!!!!!!! fell to $ 45 after fierce bargaining)!
Unexpected aside, the waterfalls are beautiful ... you can not even get an idea with photos of how impressive water flow, the nature of the surrounding park full of squirrels! Both the American side than on the Canadian (which can be reached by crossing the Rainbow Bridge, which strongly suggest you do not so much to say that I have set foot in Canada, how to enjoy the splendor of manicured gardens and spectacular waterfalls visuae the point where they leap into the void!) can hikes of various types, for example, there are trails that take you under the waterfall, or the famous boat tours with legendary blue poncho, which I did and nothing short of fun! The boat comes practically under the falls, both American and the Horseshoe shared with Canada ... prepare to get wet to the bone despite the towel!! but it is a unique experience, you realize what nature can do!
So with a hundred dollars can give you a magical day at the waterfalls ... many say that those are even more spectacular Iguazu and I doubt not, but at least once in your life you must also see Niagara Falls! Bon voyage!
