California... that's it! A long travel to the land of my dreams in U.S.A.

In February 2008, taken from a pathological anxiety for the past few months since my last "travel experience" I decided that after my graduation I was supposed to go to California, land of my dreams to see since 14 years for the first time started reading the books of bea generation of Kerouac, Corso, Ferlinghetti and friends and when I listened to the rousing music of Janis or Bob or Jim ....
So we left me and my friend (who for the record I do not know very well, or better known now only for "the girl that came with me at Cal."
First stop San Francisco (do not call it Frisco ... please), exciting city much better than expected. Then drive a long through along the Pacific Coast Highway 1, which connects San Francisco to San Diego. I recommend everyone to go down this road from dispassionate goose bumps at least once in their life ... left image the great Pacific Ocean with its high waves breaking on a large beach and abandoned, where the only inhabitants are lions and elephant seals and some crazy surfer who faces of high waves up to 5 meters (nuts) ... ya guys ... this is the legendary Big Sur.
Consliglio also stop in cities along the coast from Monterey to Santa Cruz to Caramel By the Sea in Santa Barbara.
Just past Santa Barbara meet Malibu .... and then Santa Monica but especially exciting Venice (a mix of street artists / homeless, animals and racing with insane roller blade or simply walk to tears by singing throat without fuss). The most beautiful part of Venice is .... Venice ... from Canal Walk (it's just like Venice, our) to Venice Beach, and Venice's main street full of restaurants and strange. Then he goes to LA .... and here is spoiled for choice ... Downtown the place a bit 'dark where mix artists, still homeless, businessmen, ethnic groups often never heard before, full of Hollywood stars and crazy houses, destination of the great American cinema, Griffith Park twice bigger than Central Park in NYC, the Hills is where the famous' Hollywood Sign.
A few days later we decided to drop well in Las Vegas, Vegas or Jesus .... is worse than expected (meaning good), everything is huge, colorful, bright, shocking, and then deserves the road from LA to Las Vegas in the desert for 4 - 5 hours where regional towns of crazy American Province (an example: Ghost Town)

You can not tell what is California, to appreciate this you need to go and live it to the bone ... if you ask me I must confess ... California is the most beautiful place that so far has touched, and you know what is all that upsets me? I was not expecting that!!
