After a flight of eight and a half hours flying over the Pacific, began our American dream.

Already looking at the plane from oblivion the city of Los Angeles seemed really great and the airport was not as well. We are talking of the largest in the world and the second for trafficking of persons carried. Was just dropped We check the external temperature, in fact, the captain, before alighting from the aircraft we had reported that there were sixteen degrees Celsius, but we had so much fear that we met not so low temperatures that we wanted to realize on our skin what it meant. Another concern was the price at which we encounter in the country went to the stars and stripes, for this reason, just go through the practices we have precipitated admission to find a hostel or something similar. The search was not actually very difficult because the hand was the expectation of the bus that we would recover from the airport for free and taken up to our "stay". The place was quite nice, even had a swimming pool and a restaurant attached. There was the breakfast, the biscuits with the cafe in mid-afternoon and even the dinner was free. There seemed to be true, we were ready to bless America. The first day we spent so welcoming of our choice and making a brief exploration of the neighborhood that evening surrounded us.
Another advantage for the hostel was the free transport to one of the most famous beaches in Los Angeles: Venice Beach. And it is precisely in this way that we decided to spend our second day on American soil.

The place had something of a family member, seemed to have already seen many times ... in fact it was several times the scenario in which there were the adventures of Baywatch, with Mitch Bew Cannon (who knows how to write his son Obbye !!!), and the legendary SJ Parker, aka Pamela Anderson!
There was the impetuous ocean, the long and wide beach underpinned by control towers and many palms to frame not missing anything. Venice Beach was teeming with people walking along the sea, between shops and street artists involved in the performing most absurd. There were not even the basketball camps and outdoor gyms, where masses of sweaty muscles, is anxious to burnish biceps.

The time to return to hostel there was the same incident capitatoci arrival at the airport, the bus was late monstrous and because we have lost her the succosissimi and biscuits gratuitissimi half day. Digested reluctantly the inconvenience, we went to wash up as we go along and do well for dinner. At dinner we came first and our surprise, we started to realize why the dinner was free: the food is repeated every night, as in a photograph taken two times, without a bit of fantasy: hot pasta, nachos, potato croquettes (or fish, we can not know!) and rice. But the main attraction, which fortunately for us we kept saying, was a super mega cake that seemed made from our grandmother ... to lick your fingers.

For the third day we had booked a tour that would take us to visit points of interest of the city: in fact the is indeed a huge and difficult city to visit especially if you do not have a car. This tour, however, promised the impossible: Marina del Ray, yet Venice Beach, Beverly Hills 90210 (with Brendon, Brenda, Kelly and Dylan Mc Kane), Rodeo Drive, Fisherman Market, Hollywood, Hall of Fame, Chinese Theater and the residences of some Hollywood celebrities. In fact, the tour proved to be a hoax or at least half did not meet our full expectations. Ripigliarci for a while 'from disappointment, we were plunged into a dinner Luculliana let you guess what it is proposed: hot pasta, nachos, potato croquettes and rice.

As usual time is tyrant especially if you have to do around the world in one year, it was time to decide how to continue our journey in the States. The options available to us were basically two: the classic rely bus, which had marked our rides so far, or rent a car. The difference, as usual was the price but the fact that with a vehicle at our full disposal could best manage the way we had in mind. After a brief consultation, the decision was taken: it was time to continue our adventure on board a car. So good morning, we set to work contacting the various agencies and finding the solution that did the job. Be the baggage we have again taken advantage of free transport available dall'ostello and so we waited at the airport where the new companion for our journey. Hurry practices on the hiring and paying the due we are going to get in one last way to look at LA In fact, since the national tour had not fully met our expectations, we decided to return to some of the fleetingly seen the previous day. And so it was ... initially the muzzle of our Ford Taurus was heading for the pomp and luxury of Rodeo Drive, where, once parked, we were granted a camminatina between the windows of the most famous fashion houses, and then do head for the residential area of Beverly Hills, which houses the huge villas of rich Americans. In all this could not miss a visit to another of the most famous beaches in Los Angeles: Santa Monica. That fact in about fifteen minutes we were in the place, part of the city far more serene than Venice Beach, features a pedestrian zone where it was possible to walk perhaps stopping to sip a cafe in one of the many bars scattered along the way. Right time for a last farewell to LA and it was time to walk again, this time towards the world capital of gambling: Las Vegas!

It took approximately five hours of travel in the desert or near, we were wrong road a couple of times, but finally we did. We arrived in Las Vegas later in the evening, greeted by his colors sbrilluccicanti, a world of fiction as less exciting.
We knew very well that the decision to take the machine would inevitably entailed some sacrifices: as usual, our budget was limited and to save some 'money, we decided to spend a night in the car.
The first night in Las Vegas so we decided to spend between the seats of our ford Taurus in a parking lot of a luxury hotel. To compensate for this sacrifice, at bedtime, we intended to dine in a typical American, a "steak house", a place of worship for lovers of good steaks (big, big and juicy!).
We wake up in the morning buonora, with the sun in the rear window was fogged head of our machine ... was time to explore Las Vegas, go to the magical fictions of a city made for fun.
But first of all, it was time to find a place to support our backpacks and make us a healthy shower. In fact, some hostels had seen the night before and therefore we direct straight to the U.S. Hotel, which among other things also promised free breakfast.

In early afternoon we were already in Las Vegas Boulevard, the street along which wind the main attractions of the city. It's true, Las Vegas is a city that never sleeps, even in broad daylight casinos were taken by assault by thousands of tourists, the lights shine the premises even stronger than the light of day, the hotel brought the most important shows exciting that tourists could enjoy right from the road and absolutely without charge! It is hard to remember how many things we saw: We went through a plausible reconstruction of Venice, Piazza San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, the gondolas and the canals all the rest, well we saw the Eiffel tower and the statue of liberty together with other thousands of illusions created just for tourists. But the city must be lived mainly at night, it is with the benefit of darkness is the best.

And so, after a fleeting and yet another dinner at a fast food, rieccoci to trample the sparkling and glittering Las Vegas Boulevard. Well ... at night is another story, the charm which surrounds the city is difficult to explain in four words. We went to visit the places made famous by countless films such as Caeser Palace, the Mirage, the MGM and the legendary Bellagio, where they consumed the intricate story of Ocean Eleven. We stopped along the road to admire the spectacular water features offered by the Bellagio, the Mirage of volcanic eruptions and the adventures of pirates told the Garden Treasure Palace. Definitely an intense night added to the day that just passed, we were literally exhausted. We proceed directly to the bed in our hostel because after the pomp and the lights of the capital of gambling, had come forward to point the bonnet of the Ford Taurus to the peace offer to the enchanting scenery of the Grand Canyon.
