Comment - Day 1: New York

An unforgettable tour, completed with natural beauty, indescribable metropolis, amusement parks and finally the Caribbean Sea.
I suggest to hire a car to enjoy in full freedom and calm these places, with an organized tour the trip would be made too quickly. Driving in the United States (at least in these states) is really easy, low-traffic and enormous perfect roads. The automatic transmission completes the driving-relaxation.
As for eating, the choice is endless and the prices are relatively low.
The parks of Orlando, except for Sea World, have a little disappointed me but this is a strictly personal assessment. The weather was very humid and hot, parks overcrowded. In the Magic Kingdom for some attractions needed one hour of row, and was not period of high season. Many attractions are similar to Gardaland ones, of course much bigger. Some attractions in Epcot are nice, others seem trivial, but you need to know English.
This was my honeymoon, and I will never forget it!

New York - Day 1

We land at the Kennedy in the early afternoon and we are accepted from the assistant of "Kaleidoscope", for well-paid collective transfer, up to our hotel. That was the last time I buy a collective transfer; at this price I would have paid a fine taxi without having to wait almost an hour to embark all other passengers.
Once placed at the Jolly Madison, expensive and ugly, with a mini room a little old, only vantage: unique position, directly opposite of Empire State Building, we decide to make a first approach with the city. So we walk to Time Square, it is here that one begins to see the real New York, made of skyscrapers, immense roads, lights and loads of people.
We have dinner in a sort of "Hello", where the peculiarity is that everything we take is weighed at the same price, and paid according to weight. So we eat a massive amount of food with 12 dollars in two. The beauty of N.Y. is that you can choose to eat with 5 U.S. dollars or 200 dollars.

New York - Day 2

This morning we have appointment with a guide to make a brief tour of the whole city, it was worth it, because in a short time many things can be see. There is a great cold and icy atmosphere pulls over from the sea. First stop at Rockefeller Center on 5 th street; located alongside the famous Tiffany, is on this road that can be found the highest concentration in the world of luxury shops. Cross then across Manhattan from Central Park, with the houses of tycoons, and then Little Italy, China Town, to get to the most southern tip of the city, Battery Park, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the bay and the Statue of Liberty. The tour ends then at Pier 17 (South Street Seaport), the most famous pier of the city, a true glance, with an exciting view to 360 degrees: the Brooklin bridge and a boat to the sea, and shiny skyscrapers of the city. Hence we begin to wander by ourselves and our advantage is to make a super economic tiny cruise (free), in the Hudson bay, with the ferry commuters who leads from Manhattan to Staten Island. The ferry passes next to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, and offers an unforgettable view across Manhattan, from the sea very impressive. The tour lasts an hour (round trip) certainly it is not ae luxury cruise, with dinner in the bay, but saw the price...
We continue with a walk on Wall Street, and then go back to the hotel by subway. For the evening, we choose a restaurant with table service, and not eat bad at all, although in a single dish is served pasta (discrete), and meat with contour (excellent). We spend, all included, thirty dollars in two.

New York - Day 3

A splendid day with blue sky, a rarity I think, the cold of yesterday is a distant memory, and a shirt is more than enough to shoot. We got to the top of Empire. The view is impressive, unique I suppose. From there it can be seen boundless the whole city and the bay, and recognize places seen the day before. The better view is looking toward the port, where the highest skyscrapers raise, between the twin towers. After disembarking, we return to Rockefeller Center to visit deeper, using underground tunnels where there are shops and restaurants, and reaching a series of skyscrapers all equal, very close to each other, that almost do not filter the light of sun. We visit then the Cathedral, very European and beautiful, although modern. The strange thing is that we have a church that outside seems impressive, but here is one of the lowest buildings in the city. Last stage is a walk in Central Park, rightly named lung of the city, with its lakes, flowers, squirrels and where we almost not feel the noise of the metropolis. The evening dinner is in one of those local "weight" restaurants, but we end in one run by Vietnamese, where we can not eat anything and we are forced to throw everything bought. We find a way to eat pizza in squalid central station in New York, and my thought is: "with everything that I have spent here, do I have to eat this cold, anointed slice of pizza? Unbelievable.."
There are many other things to see in NY, museums, neighborhoods, shops, but time is running out, see you tomorrow...
