Ten days after the first time in Australia, the mainstay of Oceania

After ten years finally this year we decided to return to the wonderful land of kangaroos: Australia! Leaving aside the areas already seen the other time this year we choose to see the west coast from Perth to Epermouth campers moving in and stay a few days in Perth and Rottnest Island.
After studying and evaluating several options, I organize everything in detail from Italy to booking the flight with Emirates cents (€ 1,054.00) and the campervan for 11 days at the Perth Campabout OZ, hotel accommodation in Perth and Rottnest and ferry to Rottnest.
Unfortunately, flooding in the area of Carnarvon and several cyclones that have formed at this time forced us to change our route and we had to give up the area further north in the program or the peninsula and the long-dreamed Epermouth Ningaloo Reef but otherwise it was a beautiful trip and perfectly managed ... Australia does not disappoint us this time either ... and like last time we shared with the hope and the desire to return soon!

 

Finally we go!!

Here we finally came time to leave .. lunch at home and then go to the station to catch the train to Milan on the intercity 12:53 (€ 36.00 including the Milan Malpensa Central).
One last espresso at the bar before you take the train to Malpensa and then off ... the adventure begins!

The launch is scheduled for 21.10 a little 'late at 21.45 but at least the plane is fairly new and there are a lot of new films to be seen .. One meal is served at this dinner shortly after takeoff ... chicken with coconut sauce and chili + rice and spinach with pine nuts .. quite good.

6.05 am landing in Dubai, as there already knew well the airport is very sumptuous and rather disorganized. Stop at a bar for a delicious almond croissants and coffee (22 local currency) and then a stop in one of two unique and crowded rooms that are smoking in front of gates 120-121 ..... after a few hours to Dubai off again at 10.45 am in Perth!

01.25 hours, and finally landed in Perth after having attended to all controls (very accurate for the food that you absolutely can not carry) go out and take a taper to bring us close to the Formula 1 hotel booked and paid for by Italy (90 AUD). We worried a little 'the fact of having to check automatically but then I realized that we had left the key in an envelope with my name in a box above the check-in machine.
The room is a little 'small with a double bed and the bed, my, askew above the other bed ... strange but comfortable .. Then we'll be down there for long because once placed, we realize that it's already past 3!
At 7 am we were already up and ready to go .. we took a coffee vending machine and then we went on foot to the rental Campra which was within walking distance.
Our campervan was ready, and then parked near the road after all signed and sealed once we left the hotel and loaded our luggage we headed to the nearest mall to go shopping for supplies (66.00 AUD) and to ATM (600 AUD). Offices like never before finally leaving Perth around noon to head to the east ... the first half of the trip Wave Rock.
Along the road just outside Perth we notice something very strange: sometimes there are one or two chairs positioned on the edge of the road with a name written on it ... we do not know what they mean but the only thing that comes to mind is that they are a bit 'as the crosses that we put on our streets when someone dies in a car accident ... who knows maybe it is anything but! After traveling a little 'road we stop at a rest area in the open for lunch .. a pepperoni pizza purchased at the supermarket at $ 9.50 .. Australia is not much room as the first but today we are still not organized and was the most convenient and easy to carry around ... among other things was also very good! The temperature is pleasant and not too hot even prchè throws a pretty strong wind and a little 'annoying ... for driving perk I can not loosen his grip on the steering wheel for even a second because if you do not just skid. At some point attraversiamouna area recently devastated by fire and there we find the road closed for work .. We stop for a second look at the map and find an alternative route but we do not even have time to open it that stops a jeep with a couple of guys and they told us to follow that show us how to overcome the deviation and return to the road we were traveling later on. Pleasantly surprised by this kindness (in Italy if you're not even lying inmiddle the street there is someone who helps you!) We take the road and we find that perk was interrupted a bridge had collapsed. The landscape is beautiful and rushes in front of our eyes ... just before arriving at Wave Rock we stopped to fill up ($ 66.00) and reach the camp of Wave Rock Versolato 18.00. We pay a pitch and we settle conluce ($ 42.00) there are not many campers and we can choose where we want.
The famous Wave Rock is a few steps so I went immediately to see her before it gets dark ... sin to the light that is very poor so the pictures are not that great but it's still beautiful though less impressive as it looked in the picture. The wind blows strong and is still quite cold. There is a pay phone and I take this opportunity to call home, but spend less than the cell gets paid calling service with Italy Direct!
We do a walking tour around, but we realize that everything is closed and there is even a shadow of a restaurant so we give up and we shut ourselves in our van to make us a risotto since there is nothing to do then go to bed early. .. and so the first day of Australian land has gone!

We head back to the coast

wake up early before 5.30 .. very cold night ... Luckily I had put under your sleeping bag so I we are a little 'wrapped! After a nice hot coffee and a nice breakfast we do a walking tour around then decidamo to reach the hippie van perk piutttosto far ... took some photos but it's nothing then we take the road north west ... In fact, the intention is to reach Yanchep park for lunch and then to Cervantes. After a few hours drive we stop in the quaint town of York for fuel ($ 50.00) for a coffee and take a walking tour, then continue. Arriving on the outskirts of Perth traffic is considerable and continue very slowly .. but in the end we reach Yanchep and we carry ilpranzo packed into the park then we go to see the Koala. Unfortunately they are almost all in the treetops so pretty far away and the pictures are not that great ... patience .. But at least we saw them! After lunch we continue north along the coastal road new Indian Ocean Drive to the Nambung National Park along the road which we already see the beautiful white sand dunes and Cervantes. Along the way, one thing that strikes us very many kangaroos are the deaths that we see ... poor things! Found the camp immediately pay a pitch with light ($ 37.00) Let's make gasoline ($ 50.00) and then as it is too early to go let's go back to see the famous pinnacles desert ... beautiful ... the landscape shades of yellow gold has wonderful .. truly magical!
Cervantes returned to look for a restaurant for dinner and saw that everyone close to 20.00 once we decide to stop and return to camp until after dinner.
How is life different here than in Italy ... we have just begun to 20.00 to fill up the restaurants and everything closes here instead.
However, we enjoy a very good steak and potatoes ($ 32.00) and then re-enter .. we realize that the menus of the restaurants are very scarce and almost all the same, moreover, are also iprezzi piutosto high ... I guess I often eat at the campsite! we left the restaurant 2-3 kangaroos crossing the road in the middle of the country ... did not think were even in town!
Arriving at the campsite we find our campsite occupied ... here campsites do not have gates and anyone can enter at any time and where he wants to settle down ...
