My Pacific Ocean

Here I am here to tell my Pacific immense goose enriched by so many islands and secluded away from them, that some small Eden essay seeks to preserve themselves from the mass tourism and in some cases, we can truly understand the meaning of the word paradise.
This is not only a story of travel, is also the story of my journey to the wedding. Not "of" marriage, but "for" the wedding, which took place here, between these islands lost.
Me and my husband (then boyfriend only) we started from August 14 Milan destination Nadi, Fiji via Los Angeles. Arrived in the capital of Fiji, after an interminable journey of more than 30 hours, the day reversed with the night, two days ahead of the date of departure (we had passed the line of data), the fatigue that permeated every cell of our body, we felt like landing on another planet, just steps from the plane fell, we were affected by an intoxicating fragrance of flowers and a sweet music, played by a small group of musicians smiling and festive. After receiving the gift of crowns of flowers and shells we have finally arrived at our hotel to rest a while 'and tackle the journey to our "island".
The next day, go through the formalities at the town of Nadi for the wedding we left the ship at a time in the islands of the Mamanuca, within which lies the island of Tokoriki where spend the next 5 days and on which beaches are play our wedding. The trip takes about 4 hours with stops at other islands of the archipelago. Here, in one of the islands was shot the film "Cast Away" with Tom Hanks, and in fact are all small but full of hills and lush vegetation.
Then we arrive in the vicinity of our island, after moving to a smaller boat.
As we approach we try to see our resort, but the sea seems that the island is uninhabited. A woman, sensing our curiosity (or perhaps seeing our faces and perplexing questions) you approach me and whispers: "Do not worry, the beauty of Tokoriki is revealed only when one enters into her, you'll see the only dropped to land and crossed the beach. " He was absolutely right: to our arrival, unloaded the luggage and climb the ladder that leads from the beach at the resort, opens our eyes to a real spectacle: hibiscus plants laden with colorful flowers, flower Frangipane with their intoxicating aroma, plants of mango, papaya, passion fruit, and among them, perfectly camouflaged in the greenery, the bungalows of the resort.
At the reception we offer a welcome drink and fruit to accompany us in our bungalow, which is a kind of house overlooking the sea. A real surprise as it is furnished with local material and taste and full of flowers. We have a lovely veranda on which to sunbathe and relax in solitude and on which we will see some of the most beautiful sunsets on the sea I have ever seen. Will be beaten only by those Polynesian.
The sea is very beautiful, the water is clear, is not popolatissima fish, do not expect a bottom to the Sharm el Sheik, but is rich in corals predominantly blue and Giant Claim, who are preserved by a program specific recovery of the species. Conchiglione are the giants that each of us has seen in cartoons: open and close very often, have truly impressive and often if they are lying on a blue coral.
Our days spent in the sun, sea, snorkeling, and preparations for the ceremony.
In fact everything is working the Wedding Coordinator of the village, which after a few questions about the ceremony was overshadowed leaving us to enjoy the sea.
So, August 19, to 17:30 on the beach of Tokoriki, barefoot, among the religious songs of a choir Fiji, fragrant flowers that decorated the beach and palm trees, me and Cristiano become husband and wife.
The whole village attends to our marriage, even if people try to camouflage hiding among the palms, not to appear in the photos!
After a toast to the evening continues with dinner that is served in a reserved table on a terrace almost over the sea. But the sweet involve a po 'boys known here, who are enjoying their honeymoon and between talk and we toast the night! Tokoriki still spend a relaxing 2 days and then depart, taking our boat, on to Nadi and then in flight to Papeete.
