From July 2000 Live in Polynesia and in my boat, I turned the Gulliver far and wide and, often, in places where tourism is largely unknown. I love this land and the sea but what pleases me most is to live in close contact with the people of Polynesia, its culture, its history and traditions and even today they continue to discover, experience and interesting nuances of reading and unexpected side. I do not like the luxury hotels and hotel chains because they give a false image of Polynesian life and reality and often their very location, creates a barrier with the territory and those around them. I much prefer the family pensions, often run by ex-Polynesian or Polynesian, more numerous and generally well maintained. But this is not the only motivation. A family pension has lower cost and often more than ¼ of a hotel and pay what is certainly Polynesian economy. The savings will allow you to stay a few more days, or longer in some island ... or additional excursions. just save your trip. It 'true that the collective's stay in Polynesia has lived on the' overwater "located in the turquoise lagoon and, as a honeymoon is a whim to take off. Take off the pure whim, maybe the last two days .. but, believe me ... they do not make your living room: it is a wasteful expenditure. This premise was essential to avoid misunderstanding on my concept of travel and then make an initial selection of those who want to read this.

Air travel

My recommendations are these. Try to book well in advance because it is easier to find cards with lower prices and choose the same price as Air Tahiti Nui as it is to the flag, has new aircraft and comfortable, the food is good and gives you a "preview" Polynesian already of your departure from Paris ... For the intercontinental flight, however, trust your travel agent or better yet to the specialized agencies on Polynesia, as the airline industry is constantly evolving. An agency that works very well on Polynesia and I would certainly recommend the KiaOra (www.kiaoraviaggi.it). Not discard a hypothesis would be to not pass the U.S. but from Chile and in this way a stop to Rapanui (http://www.rapanuiweb.com/800/MenuIta.html) better known as Easter Island . It could be the cherry on the cake of a trip "down under": Does it cost anything more, but when did you have the opportunity to visit Easter Island which, although part of the Polynesian Triangle? Moreover, this choice can give you the opportunity to visit a beautiful land as Chile (http://www.exploringchile.com/MAPPA-DEL-CILE/chile-s_3/maps.html). For those who think they have problems of Time one or two tablets of melatonin help the sleep-wake cycle and you can get more rest at Tahiti and vice versa. More and more couples are choosing to stay in New York a few days to "break the journey," but my personal assessment is that the choice is not dictated by a real-time problem. On a trip like this, subtract days to Polynesia and live in the U.S. does not seem a good choice and you end up having to give up any atoll or island for a walk in the Big Apple. The U.S. is an easy target and you can plan a trip when you want and, perhaps, more of a full stop. Make sure your passport is in compliance with U.S. standards, and ensure that in the meantime have not changed: we may arrive at the airport and having to go back and, if all goes well, pushing up the cost of travel than to give up a few days in Polynesia . Also check the latest U.S. anti-terrorism regulations on baggage and properly (http://www.polinesia.it/forum/patchwork/nuove-norme-per-ingresso-transito-negli-usa-dal-2009/. Do not be surprised if you will be filed with a lot of fingerprints and mug shot over the recognition of digital passport, your airline had already provided your route, so it's all under control. Personally is two years that I chose not to spend more but the U.S. via Chile . But all this is another topic!
The air travel between the islands of them will do with Air Tahiti (http://www.airtahiti.aero/horaires.php). There is no problem to contact via email the booking office of the company and purchase the Pass (http://www.airtahiti.aero/articles.php?id=69) more convenient for your itinerary. On the site you will find all the information, the only warnings are good ones to check on frequencies in the week and that the Pass provides a departure from Tahiti and back to Tahiti, then to Tahiti games, visited the islands in the program in any combination without making stopovers on Tahiti. The company accepts the exceptions but there are more expensive. The payment can do so by credit card and collect tickets in the agency at your arrival airport. If you plan your trip in July and August, months of high season here in Polynesia, go for the first half of July here in July because there is Heiva. A month that sees all the villages in the Polynesian feast and normally as early as Tuesday. Every night but also during the day, there are traditional competitions such as the lifting of the stone, the javelin Polynesian (hitting a coconut to 10m high), the stroke of fruit bearers, contest tressage in coir and pandanus etc and then the piece de resistance are the Polynesian dances and choirs. The competition is between the villages of every village and is a superb and unique show as they do for their pleasure and not for tourists, and a few other things that Vahine Tane (male) that could show you in a hotel or in the past and more than touristicization Tiki Village in Moorea. Find on-site program that will take place on the island of Haiti or in the district.
