Air of Polynesia
Finally we arrive in
Papeete, is the one in the morning and got off the plane as we are given the necklace of flowers (typical custom of welcome) and slightly more distant two elderly gentlemen dressed in ancient Polynesian style we sing their tune.
We expect an agent of the Tahiti Travel Tekura that delivers the voucers for all structures of Polynesia and tickets booked for domestic flights of Air Tahiti.
With the shuttle take us to the Hotel Mandarin (clean, good value for money and central) and go to sleep.
We wake up late in the morning and go to the market that is a few steps away.
Here we buy all the souvenirs and postcards because it is much cheaper than other islands, and then we go to the Pearl Market, which buy some pearls that will mount on earrings and rings at their laboratory.
The center of
Papeete is very similar to our seaside town with many shops, well maintained roads and places to eat.
The restaurant of the Mandarin Chinese course makes special, and since we do not go crazy trying a little restaurant in paraggi.La There are many opportunities especially in the face of the city hall but we go a little later in a restaurant where we can sample the legendary Polynesian mahi-mahi .
Leaving for heaven!
We get up early because of the shuttle passes at 6.00 Tekura Tahiti Travel that will take us to the airport Fahaa. It's only 6.00, but people are almost all in walking distance. We begin to understand that here you get up early, early dinner and go to sleep early. After going from port to load of tourists arrived by ferry from
Moorea airport and at 7.30 we finally leave for
Tahaa.
