Florianopolis

Other fourteen long hours on board a bus and a Saturday morning we arrived in the city of Florianopolis, the most southern point that we reached in Brazil. Dropped out of, we were the only passengers, we were greeted by Jenilson, an enterprising tour guide who brought us to rent an apartment in reasonable numbers. Sat at the counter of a bar under the constant gaze of our guide, we had breakfast in the meantime deciding whether to accept the proposed Jenilson. All in all it seemed a reasonable solution, both as regards the price is about the location of the apartment located in the east of the island: Barra de Lagoa. The good thing was that our guide is also offered to give us a lift and we would also offer the possibility to rent a car at a moderate price. Got into the car we crossed the island from west to east while the guide continued bombardment of information of all kinds. Arrived at its destination, we met our new house: two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen that even though it could not be considered a five star hotel for our needs was more than enough. We are now focusing on the parties to explore around Barra Lagoa (the area of former residence) because we do not have a car to go further. The center of Barra Lagoa was very characteristic of small houses made constantly swept by the wind, a main square where the restaurants are concentrated for us tourists, and a charming bridge crossing the ropes canal which connected the ocean to the lagoon. We have also gone beyond the bridge, climbing among the many small houses perched on the hill and then drops through a path that was developed along with a dense vegetation, up to Prainha and the natural swimming pool, huge rocks un'insenatura that protect against violence of sea. Returning home after a hot shower, we were directed towards the center for dinner we have eaten in a kiosk along the main street. The evening continued at Latitude 27, a room not too far from our house strictly reached with a bus line, confident of finding the Brazilian popular music, we have instead come in European music and international disappointment!

The next morning we had breakfast while you check out of nothing Jenilson that after the usual useless chatter has again proposed to rent a car, which in fact already wanted to do before he arrived. So we take the opportunity and we made up to accompany Rodoviaria (bus station) where we have been given a sparkling Fiat Palio. On board our vehicle, we used the rest of the day for a little run to the island by visiting the shopping area and then focusing in the center of Lagoa where then we came back to eat our dinner.

The next day included an intensive program of exploration of the entire area north and east of that part of the island. So wake up with good hours and removed the laundry we were directed to Praia do Ingles one of the most famous of Florianopolis and continue northward still to discover many other characters from the beach. After rounding the point further north on the island we began the descent to head towards the beaches of the surfers among others in the vicinity of our Casuccia. Particularly fascinating Praia Mole and Praia Joaquina, unchallenged reign of tables and waves: a marvel! The time available to us was lapse from them since a few hours we had to deliver the car and turn a bus to the next destination. Scrocca a quick shower in the apartment and loaded the backpacks in the car, we were back to the bus station where we returned the car and placed again culetto seats on a bus for fourteen hours long and our next destination was a town on the outskirts São Paulo: Santo André.
