Las Trinceras and Morrocoy National Park, Venezuela
Las Trincheras
To get to our destination there was no direct bus so we had to change three and in the early afternoon we finally got to the spa in Las Trinceras. This is a village built next to the main road that would never find its raison d'etre except that in this valley there are also good thermal waters (the second hottest in the world after those of Japan). This was the reason that we had driven up to here, the desire to heal our body from sunlight tremendous remedied in previous days, the desire to pamper ourselves by hot water and mud in the middle. Two days dedicated to health and wellness flew too quickly between very good dinner, cable TV and much relaxation.
Morrocoy national park
Settled our accounts (not too salty), we returned the backpack on my shoulder and we were directed towards the main road to turn the fly the first bus passing through: Chichiriviche destination, gateway to Morrocoy National Park, another wonder of Venezuela. After two hours of travel we arrived at their destination in this little town that we now seemed much less dangerous, more tourist than the rest of the country. Is clear that the city more than a few alberguccio and restaurant, strictly in possession of some Italian, had much to offer: the only attraction was precisely the Morrocoy National Park. This is a bay marked by numerous bays and small islands covered with thick green vegetation and where the mangroves are the master. Even here the only way to enjoy these wonders was to rent a boat with their conductor who crowded the harbor Chichiriviche. This fact, found accommodation at the Hotel Capri, whose name definitely does not betray its origin made in Italy, we have to collect all the relevant information thanks to the help of an Italian who ran an ice cream shop a few steps from us. Consider the opportunities available to us, we made a trip scoured the city center and our initial impressions were confirmed: we found ourselves in a town all too quiet. There only remained to go to make a shower and prepare for dinner in a restaurant consigliatoci by our Italian friend (we only discovered after she had her).
