Camera and backpack on my shoulders, I set off, alone, to travel around the world.
Africa, Asia, Australia and South America: in total it will be 8 months in which I will move by planes, buses, bicycles, motorbikes, cars, trains,
boats, helicopters, rafts, canoes... crossing dozens of borders, meeting hundreds, thousands of people, speaking every language and
fulfilling the dream of a lifetime. The lion hunting the zebra (Tanzania), a crocodile that walks into the kitchen (Amazon Rainforest), a crazy night at the Full Moon party (Thailand), the Rio carnival (Brazil), the clash with the wildest nature (Patagonia), the magic of a unique place (Easter
Island), a few wonders of the world (the Great Wall, the terracotta warriors, Corcovado, but also Angkor Wat and Iguazu) and an
absurd number of cities, places, emotions and feelings simply magnificent, but above all unforgettable: a lifetime will not be enough to
relive and tell this experience. In every place on earth someone had to shout my name; I collected them all and put together a video that tells, through faces, words and places, my story: 8 months in 6 minutes:

Day 11 Aug 2011
AFRICA
contact with and the sight of nature, of animals in one of the only places in the world where they still live in the wild. The spectacular scene of a lioness that, step by step, conquers a zebra: priceless, I still get chills. Ngorongoro, the nature park inside the crater. Breathtaking landscapes, the baobab trees and the colors at dusk, the nights in a tent.
Perito Moreno, Patagonia
Day 220 Aug 2011
ASIA
I land in Beijing feeling too disoriented: two days earlier I was in Zanzibar, beach, sun and sea. Forbidden China, the China of the Great Wall and the warriors, but also and above all of Guilin: a landscape out of Jurassic Park. And those sweet pandas that ruminate and sleep all day. Crossing the border with Vietnam and discovering the wonder of Halong Bay was no walk in the park, but in the end I also conquered the beauties of Sapa, the rice terraces and.... sleeping in a hut with a family from an indigenous tribe is priceless. I cross the Mekong and arrive in Cambodia, where I stop in ecstasy in front of Angkor: the eighth wonder of the world, of which any attempt at description would be futile.
I keep crossing borders to arrive in Bangkok just in time to experience the worst flood of the century and escape to the islands: Koh Tao and Koh Phangan are simply paradises, imagination isn't enough. A sleepless night at the Full Moon Party and then another escapade up north: 3 days immersed in the jungle of Chiang Mai, sleeping in huts in front of a hearth that, when it goes out, leaves a sky so bright it's frightening. A short stop in Singapore, which is no longer Asia anyway, and then a farewell to this continent that leaves me so much.
Penguin, Patagonia
Day 328 Oct 2011
Australia
Darwin and the natural parks, beauties of nature but always keeping an eye out for the biggest and most dangerous crocodiles in the world. Then the coast, Queensland, diving with turtles and surfing on the endless beaches of the new continent. A last goodbye from Sydney: perhaps the most livable - and beautiful - city I've seen
Man - China
Day 41 Nov 2011
PATAGONIA
The contact with nature is stark: lost, isolated from the rest of the world, I wander through the mountains between Chile and Argentina, sometimes for days, sleeping in a tent and cooking with a

Day 524 Nov 2011
Easter Island
despite being part of Chile, this place lost in the world, also called the most remote inhabited place on the globe, deserves a special section. Five days that are hard to describe. Because Rapa Nui is a place as magical as few in the world. Because the unspoiled island has a soul, because the Moai are alive.
Bayon (Angkor) - Cambodia
Day 61 Jan 2012
South America
After Buenos Aires there's northern Argentina, where I live like a Gaucho, waking up at dawn and working with my horse in the fields, checking on the livestock. After that, Iguazú, where nature takes the place of words. And finally Brazil, the islands, the indescribable beaches, but above all the Carnival of Rio and that of Salvador, a CRAZY week. And another week, the last one before leaving, in Manaus, in the Amazon rainforest, sleeping in a hammock, swimming among the piranhas and going in search of the jaguar. Will we find it?
