On the way to Tashkent
Departure from Rome FCO on the Turkish flight at 10:55. At 15:00 I land at the new Istanbul airport, where I spend the hours between now and boarding for Tashkent. At 18:30 I am back in the air..

In the darkest moment of my life I chose Uzbekistan, that road to mythical Samarkand, eternal symbol of rebirth, where in the collective imagination the destiny of all of us somewhat awaits. A 9-day trip that touched its most beautiful stops. Tashkent: a capital still with a Soviet flavour, with its beautiful metro and the largest bazaar in Central Asia. Samarkand: a myth that does not disappoint. The Kyzylkum desert, with its immense sky that gives you energy. And then Bukhara and Khiva, two jewels both beyond all expectations. And then the Uzbeks, a people you don't expect. A people who welcome you with smiles and a warmth that overcomes every language barrier. I chose well. Thank you Uzbekistan.
And for the first time I had to choose to join a group. I choose NBTS Travel, which offers tours with local guides and a small maximum number of participants, while still guaranteeing an excellent level of the services included. The flight I sort out myself. It will prove to be a perfect choice.

It's already past midnight when we land on Uzbek soil. Once the entry formalities are completed, outside it's time to meet our travel companions. There are 8 of us and it seems to have gone very well. We transfer to the Hotel Simma, where we will stay overnight. After a few hours we are at breakfast, ready to kick off the trip. Today the day will be dedicated to visiting the capital Tashkent.
