Sesta di Corniglio, a small hamlet of the municipality of the same name, is located at about 920 metres above sea level, in the upper Val Parma. The village is well known locally for having an open-air museum of the painter Walter Madoi..... the walls of several houses have been frescoed by the painter. We took advantage of the decent day to meet up with friends and go and taste the local specialities, as well as enjoy a nice outing in the countryside. The bends to get there are not few, but then everything took second place, after taking part in the painting course and a quick visit to the Alpine troops' gathering being held in the upper part of the village. Little water for the children, but plenty of white wine, red wine and grappa.
