The story

We set off from Parma in terrible weather and arrived in Natz after 3 hours in even worse weather… Natz is a truly delightful little town, it is called the village of apples because around it there are immense expanses of fruit trees and especially apple trees… We stayed at the Flotscherhof, a beautiful family hotel, very well equipped for children and teenagers, there is the pool, the football pitch, a golf course, lots of outdoor games..a shame that the bad weather didn't let us dive into the pool but we will certainly be back because our Luca had a great time. In the village of Natz there is the tourist office where they give you the map of the area and lots of information. I recommend buying the apple juice, very good…

The second day we went to Brixen, which is about 10 minutes from Natz…It is a very beautiful city, full of colour and greenery…the cathedral is beautiful and so are the square and the surrounding alleys…There is also a beautiful bishop's palace which we couldn't visit because it was closed…Near the town there is a stream flanked by a nice cycle path…we had a picnic in a small park where there were also lots of games for our little one… Towards evening we went back to get the car in one of the covered car parks where I recommend leaving the car..

The third day, given the not-so-nice weather, we decided to go to Bruneck, which is about an hour's drive away, but with our gaze on the landscapes our journey is very pleasant. We also come across an ancient fortress and stop to take nice photos imagining we are Robin Hood.. Bruneck is a delightful little town, not as beautiful as Brixen but nice to visit…especially its castle with a very steep climb to get there..That very day there is also a race of unusual cars, like go-karts, and we have fun watching them…

The last day we go, together with friends we met at the hotel, to Tures to see Taufers castle and we are surprised at how well preserved it is...a guide told us the whole history of the castle...truly splendid... In Campo Tures, in the locality of Riva, we also go to admire some beautiful waterfalls, easy to reach even with a stroller for those with lazy children like ours.

We were enchanted by these areas and we will certainly be back...there are breathtaking landscapes and dream castles..
