I knew Miami could be "hispanic" like San Diego or thereabouts, but Miami is full of Cubans. Or rather ex-Cubans, naturalised stars and stripes. Almost all the mayors of Miami, in fact, are of Cuban origin. Miami had been described to me as a city that you could even skip seeing, but that is not true. It is very interesting, from Miami Beach to the memorial monument through to feasting on lobsters at $27... I highly recommend the excursion to a nearby park, in close contact with... the alligators!
